It's all about art

A native of Washington State, Claudia Loomis Chandler grew up With a keen appreciation of nature. Her earliest memories are full of the smell of crayons, pine trees and the salt of the ocean. Claudia's first mural was discovered on the wall of her childhood bedroom, she never repented, knowing that beauty can never be bad. From crafting mud pies in the back yard, to drawing at her chalkboard easel, Claudia has lived her life trying to interpret the world around her.
Now Claudia Loomis Chandler creates from her home in the Adirondack Mountains. Amidst the forest and wildlife, she weaves the texture of nature into her baskets and onto her looms for rugs and other handwoven textile arts. Along with fiber arts, Claudia expresses herself by pounding silver and gold for jewelry arts, and through visual arts such as watercolor and oil painting; and drawing in pen and ink and pencils.
